Description: Eating Disorders (EDs) are complex illnesses that can have deleterious consequences on a patient’s psychological, emotional and physical well-being. Rates of EDs and disordered eating are on the rise, and disproportionately affect women. Registered Dietitian-Nutritionists (RDNs) in a variety of practice settings have an increasing responsibly and opportunity to help these patients improve their overall health with more adaptive eating behaviors and balanced nutritional intake. This webinar will discuss the role of the RDN in evidenced-based nutritional care for patients with EDs and those with disordered eating patterns. Specific strategies and tools will be discussed for direct clinical application. A case-study will be used to elucidate the talking points. Time for Q&A will also be allotted towards the end of the webinar.
